The Fall Classic hosted by our chapter and the Tri-State Human Resource Chapter will be held on October 9, 2009 at Freeman Business Center.  This year we are featuring International Presenter Candy Whirley author of “It takes 4 to Tango”.  Candy will be presenting a 2 hour “Interactive Creativity Boot Camp for Leaders & Trainers”.

 

This year we will be offering the option of purchasing the all day seminar or just the morning or afternoon sessions.

JO-MO Regional Payroll/HR Conference is coming on October 9, 2009.

Welcome from the Joplin Chapter of Southwest Missouri, an autonomous and independent chapter of the American Payroll Association.

 

This is a great opportunity to be part of a local group that will help you grow as a payroll professional.  As an official APA Chapter, we will strive to support the initiatives of APA National and prosper with their assistance.  Our group focuses on monthly meetings featuring informative guest speakers and great networking opportunities, community outreach activities, especially during National Payroll Week, and payroll educational programs. 

 

We invite you to attend one of our monthly meetings.  They are held on the second Thursday of each month, 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m., at Employer Advantage, 1230 E. 7^th  Street, Joplin, MO.  This is a brown bag lunch and you are welcome to drop in at any time during the meeting.  If you have questions or would like to join our chapter, please contact Debbie Cash at 417-782-3909 ext. 148, or one of the other officers.

 

If you are interested in studying for your payroll certification we will be starting a weekly study group session in the Fall 2009 to study for APA Certifications, FPC and CPP.  The dates and times are still in the planning stages.  If you are interested in joining, call Debbie for more information!
